They arrived safely an hour ago and they are very beautiful.  I  brewed the very first tea-- the Tenkaichi Gyokuro by Ippodo Tea--in this beautiful houhin by Soukou, and I used Suzu Shinohara pitcher as the katakuchi. The brew from this unglazed houhin is excellent. I have always wanted a houhin, and I think this is the most beautiful wabi houhin I have ever seen. I found it’s so easy to see the tea leave unfold after brewing, fantastic experience. <We asked the customer some questions> ☆What tea to brew Taiwanese winter tea, but a kind of special one, called 冬片(Dong Pian).Just fewer than other normal winter Oolong tea. ☆How to brew Temperature of first brew should be 95 degree Celsius ☆Oolong tea can brew well with this teapot? Koie Hiroshi (Reiko) Silky Red Clay Smoked Black Kyusu Teapot -Shiha Original (Customer Message) 这个茶壶我总结出来泡普洱老橙皮茶特别好。普洱老陈皮绝搭的。滋味很柔和。我用的是30年老橙皮。普洱也就五年左右的熟普洱。 (Translation to English) I concluded that this teapot is good for brewing Pu'er orange peel tea. Pu'er and old orange peel (chenpi) is perfect. The taste is very soft and round. I use 30-year-old orange peel chenpi.  Pu'er is about five years old Shu Cha (Shu Pu). (Customer Message) 今天剛收到，將舜園的植物壺與自己收藏的壺比較了一下～小巧又精緻，銳利的直線構成了方型的壺身，看起來十分的俐落。 壺身四邊半圓的倒角讓手的觸感非常好，用一個手掌就能握住。 整個壺身搭配植物的雕刻表現出淡雅 花與草這些植物給我一種“疾風知勁草”的感覺，面對大風吹動也還能不被吹倒繼續生存。 疾風知勁草 (Translation) I just received the botanic teapot today. I compared the Shunen teapot  with my collection. It is detailed and delicate, and the sharp straight lines form a square-shaped body, which looks very sophisticated. The semi-circular filleted edge on the four sides of the body feels very good. The teapot can be gripped with one hand. The whole body is carved with plants that shows elegance. Those flowers and grass give me a feeling of “疾風知勁草strong wind tells strong grass”.  Even if strong wind blows, grass stay there and survive without being blown away.   Gust of wind knows...

(Customer Message) 這是最期待收到的一件收藏，僅僅只是放在燈光下慢慢的欣賞窯變的顏色就能讓我感到滿足。 作者利用顏色的分層再用雕刻花的裝飾，讓整個作品看起來更豐富～連壺蓋的底部都有作者的雕刻 整個壺完全融入了作者的工藝及心血，令人激賞。 （Translation) This is the collection I am most looking forward to receiving. Just putting it under the light and slowly appreciate the Yohen* color gradation (*changing colors made by fire/flame during firing in a kiln). It make me satisfied. The author uses the layering of colors and the decoration of carved flowers to make the whole work look richer. Even the backside of the lid has the artist's carving.
