This cup has 2 different glazing applied. The technique of art is called “kake-wake”Literally, 掛 "Kake" means apply (glazing), 分" wake" means separately.
掛分(kakewake) ,this art technique is seen Takatori-yaki often.

The black glaze and milky-white straw ash glaze create a dreamlike world, expressing the quiet natura beauty of wabi-sabi. Where the two glazes meet, they leave traces of movement and silence, forming a landscape that exists only once.

This cup has an asymmetrical shape, with undulating edges that evoke the feeling of a natural landscape.

Hassen (Sousen) expresses the artistry and spirit of the Japanese tea bowl in a small cup. Most of the clay is from Koishiwara and Nanakuma in Fukuoka prefecture (whereHassen kiln is located)
