The artisan hollowed out a piece of wood block - then lacquered with warm color.
This cup is a round-bottomed egg-like shaped. The cup is to right itself when pushed at an angle. The cup is NOT with a weight inside the bottom. The artisan made the bottom heavier by adjusting thickness of the wood. Mouth of the cup is thin and give you good feeling when drinking from the cup.
