Daruma (Bodhidharma) is known as the founder of Zen Buddhism. His teachings deeply influenced the spirit of Chinese and Japanese tea culture, where calmness, simplicity, and inner peace are cherished. Through drinking tea, one cultivates inner stillness and mindfulness. At its core lies the idea of 'entering Zen through tea.
Daruma dolls have no arms or legs. This unique shape comes from a legend:
Daruma meditated for nine years without moving, and his limbs withered away. Today, the figure symbolizes perseverance, inner strength, and unshakable spirit — qualities that resonate with the tea path.
