Beautiful Shade of Cobalt Blue with fine natural texture white clay showing on Kodai(foot) makes unique charm.
The inside of the lid of wood box is inscribed with 'Commemoration of the Accession to the Throne' so it is likely a piece from 1989, the year the previous Emperor ascended to the throne.
