Umehara Soukou Teapot Kyusu Kiln Change 【Vintage Japanese Teapot - Unused】
This teapot was made approx. 30-40 years ago. Artist Sokou was retired and no longer making teapot.
Elegant and sophisticated in shape, with an exceptionally thin body—a feature only achievable by a true master. The entire teapot is finely crafted, clearly reflects Master Soukou’s refined technique.
The body has shimmers with graceful color transitions and a quietly elegant glow.
Its surface reveals a natural beauty — subtle, refined, and depth.
These colors are not painted on, but were born from the fire.
Inside the kiln, flame, heat, and air work together in an unpredictable process,
leaving behind a one-of-a-kind finish that cannot be replicated.
It is an expression of nature and traditional craftsmanship.
Good water flow.
