Important Update for U.S. Customers
Starting August 29, 2025, the U.S. will end the “De Minimis” exemption. This means all imports—including orders under USD 800—will now be subject to duties and taxes.

Parcels will be delivered to recipients as usual, although duties and fees may apply.
Based on example, delivery times appear to remain the same — for instance, we shipped a parcel to the U.S. by FedEx on September 4, and it arrived on September 5.
Payment
Paypal is now available.
We process all orders in JPY (Japanese Yen). While your cart is displayed in another currency (such as USD, EUR, CNY etc..) you will checkout using JPY at the most current exchange rate.
Shipping Fee
Shipping Free to major cities/most of major cities in Europe, North America, Asia.
We select available shipping companies to each countries.
To Australia, Shipping to Australia requires 2,000 JPY (3,500 JPY for Tasmania) for an item due to rising fuel costs. If the shipping fee we receieved exceeds the actual cost, we will issue a refund (after the fee is finalized). If you would like to know the estimate shipping cost before you place an order, please select your items first and contact us via email. (We optimize and try to reduce shipping fee as much.)
Note
Shipping to certain cities are temporally not available due to adjustment & restrictions of shipping company, also due to international situation. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please make sure if shipping is available to your country in "shipping address form" in the step between checkout and payment. Country/city name will appear if shipping is available.
Shipping Company
We use the following shipping companies as default. We may change the company depending on the situation. If you have a request for shipping company, please let us know when placing an order.
- United States: Expedited
- Australia: Expedited/ EMS
- Canada: Expedited / EMS
- Asia: EMS
- Europe: Expedited/ EMS
Expedited: DHL or other courier.

Notice About Additional Shipping Fees to Australia

Shipping Date
Your order will be dispatched within 8 working day of receiving payment. We ship to you as soon as we can. (According to Japanese calendar)
Please also refer the top page of the online store, we announce next shipping date on the page.
No shipping to Logistic Company Address
We will not send items to logistic companies or transportation companies.
We only send items directly to receivers address for safe delivery.
Import duties / VAT and other charges
We ship from Japan. VAT, import duties, taxes, and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges shall be paid by the buyer. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

The new EU VAT e-commerce rules:
From 1 July 2021, all items shipped into the EU from Japan will be subject to VAT irrespective of their value. (no matter the item price)

Sales Tax for US-Based Customers:
From January 1, 2025, sales tax will be automatically collected, for orders made through the Shop App (Shop channel ) for US-based customers. However, if you place an order directly through our shop (shihateapot.com), sales tax will NOT be applied, as it has been up until now. (This change is due to a new law) Thank you for your understanding.

Please note that customers who have refused to pay customs duties in the past or present, or who repeatedly dispute or file claims regarding customs charges in a manner that violates our policies, may have their orders cancelled and may be restricted from placing future orders. We appreciate your understanding.

Refund Policy
【Refund Request】
Refund requests will be accepted only if the item is not as described.
We reserve the right to determine whether an item meets this condition.
Please contact us by email within 3 days after you receive the parcel.
Include your name and the reason for the return in your email.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
To start a return, please contact both the shipping company and us at info@shihateacomfort.com. If you do not contact the shipping company, we cannot accept your return.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you an instruction on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

【Damages and issues】
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
【Exceptions / non-returnable items】
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for those cases;
Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items) cannot be returned. Please ask us if you have questions or concerns before ordering.
Damage caused after opening the package is non-returnable.
Damage caused intentionally is non-returnable.
【Cancellation before the item has been shipped 】
Please note that we generally do not accept cancellations.
In exceptional cases where a cancellation is requested by the customer before the item has been shipped, the credit card processing fee is non-refundable and will therefore be deducted from the refund amount.
This fee is charged by your credit card company or our payment processor
and is not returned to us even when an order is canceled or refunded.
Customers who have previously canceled any order before shipment will not be eligible to cancel future orders, regardless of the product.
To avoid any misunderstandings or issues, please review your order carefully before placing it.
【Cancellation after the item has been shipped】
We are not able to accept cancellation after item has been shipped.
【Refunds Following Approved Returns】
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your returned item, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
