Vintage Umehara Soukou Chrysanthemum Cup (3pcs)
A rare Tokoname-yaki art tea cup, exuding refinement and nobility, reminiscent of Meiji-era craftsmanship.
This uniquely crafted Japanese tea cup is made from shudei (red clay) and has been smoke-fired, giving the entire piece a warm, deep brown tone that enhances its sense of depth and quiet elegance.
The fan-shaped design is adorned with delicately sculpted, three-dimensional chrysanthemum motifs — a symbol of elegance and imperial grace. Rendered in traditional colors, the chrysanthemums evoke a timeless and classical beauty.
Hand-carved calligraphy adds a personal touch of artistry, harmonizing brightness and serenity within the rich character of the cup. A truly distinctive piece, created approximately 30–40 years ago, showcasing the enduring legacy of Japanese ceramic mastery.
