Chibana Hanaori is a traditional textile from the Chibana region in central Okinawa.

Originally woven with cotton, Chibana Hanaori now incorporates silk threads dyed with natural pigments and processed threads, producing vibrant and colorful fabrics.

This weaving tradition developed in the 18th century, centered around the Chibana region (now part of Okinawa City). Since the Ryukyu Kingdom era, Chibana has been a key location for transportation and defense, allowing this craft to flourish.
