Banko Teapot. Hand carve & draw origami cane and pine leaves.
Yellow, Pink, blue 3 colors of origami cranes, gold pine leaves in white cloud. Banko purple clay. Simple natural texture, having wabi-sabi feeling.
Shape, clay, art are harmonies.
Inside of lid has design.
This teapot reminds good old time of Japan.
Nowadays those kind of Japanese traditional picture on teapot are not seen so much.
You can feel life and custom in Japan. Crane and pie leaves are lucky symbol (Long Life) is Japan.
Pine Tree is always green even cold winter . Origami - it is Japanese paper art. Almost all Japanese played with origami in childhood, especially crane. Every Japanese feel familiar to it.
