Umehara Soukou Red Clay Smoked Body Tokoname Kyusu Tea Hagi Flower 【Vintage Japanese Teapot - Unused】
This teapot was made approx. 30-40 years ago. Artist Sokou was retired and no longer making teapot.
Elegant and sophisticated in shape, with an exceptionally thin body—a feature only achievable by a true master. The entire teapot is finely crafted, clearly reflects Master Soukou’s refined technique.
The motif on the teapot is Japanese bush clover (hagi), a flower often used in tea rooms.
The entire piece features rich shades of dark brown, enhanced by a delicate sheen that gives it depth. The engraved plant motifs harmonize beautifully with the overall finish, adding to its refined elegance.
Good water flow.
