About the teapot:
This teapot was made by Setsudo I, Yoshikawa Yoshiyuki (1911–1994), and his son, Kodo (1947–). The father, Setsudo I, was a potter who shaped the teapot, while his son, Kodo, carved the decorative art on it.
This teapot is delicately crafted with a refined and lightweight structure, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Its overall balance is elegant, making it not only functional but also a work of art. The lid fits tightly, ensuring a smooth pour. The white plum blossoms stand out beautifully against the red clay. This is a rare collaborative piece by the Yoshikawa father and son. Created 30 to 40 years ago, it remains unused.
