This teapot by Yamada Sou features a blue and shell motif. Yamada　Sou places shells around the teapot when firing it in a wood kiln, creating various artful designs on the teapot. The teapot showcases prominent shell accents, enhancing its overall charm. The flowing and shining blue surface was created by the high-temperaturein the kiln. It's a uniquely individual piece that exudes harmony.

Sou Yamada is a grandson of Jozan Yamada the 3rd, who was recognized by the Japanese government as Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure) .
