Takatori Hassen Kiln Sousen 高取八仙 宗仙  1A

Aritst:  Takatori Hassen  XIII (13th generation) -  born in 1934

The rich glaze of Takatori Style flows over the front and back of the cup, creating a complex and profound interplay of colors. A rare blue hue enhances its overall allure, blending perfectly with the body of the piece. The glaze overlays a rough-textured clay, revealing random wheel-thrown marks underneath, adding character and charm. The form exudes elegance, showcasing refined craftsmanship. Within this small vessel lies a profound work of art.

Milky white clay is straw ash glaze which Hassen made by burning straw.
Since the glazing layer is thinner, you will have feeling of the clay in your hand. It gives natural feeling in your hand and warm in your eyes.
