Wood Fired SUZU-YAKI Black & Ash Cup Shinohara Takashi 珠洲篠原敬

Suzu Ware (Suzuyaki）Cup by Shinohara Takashi. 

Beautiful wood firing black cup.

His works gives quietness & calmness.

Pine tree is used for firing in kiln - Ash of Pine tree on the cup.

Natural ash glaze inside & outside on the cup.

This is rather small cup and you can fully feel it in your hand.

The curve of rim are moderate and it is charming in total.

This cup looks black or dark color  in the place with less light or much light.

With certain amount of light, it is look so colorful. 

Moss green, nuance dark purple, grey and texture look so soft. And you can see flow of natural glazing.

Shinohara used to be a monk, he started make pottery to express his inner world on his pottery.
