YUSEN the 1st was the father of Yohie Konishi, a recognized holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property in Tokoname City.

This teapot, created approximately 40 to 50 years ago, gives a gentle, warm, and simple impression with its distinctive shape.
Made of white clay with elegant, minimal lines, it features a beautiful hidasuki (fire markings) pattern, and appears to have some mogake (seaweed firing effects) in certain areas, adding to its charm.
The thick handle—a characteristic of that era—along with the lid knob and body, are crafted with simplicity and calmness, emphasizing the natural feel of the clay.
Its smooth texture and excellent water flow from the spout make it both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
